A proposed modification of the Hastings, known as the Hastings Series 2.
The rear-loading doors would have allowed the full width of the fuselage to be used to carry bulky items, compared with the side-loading limitations of the standard Hastings. A rear-fuselage mock-up was built at Cricklewood in 1949. Length 92 ft 6 in.
